My Private Full Day Falconry Experiences are of the highest standard and offer the chance to participate in the most ancient field sport: Falconry: I believe that falconry requires a time commitment and dedication that most people cannot combine with a modern lifestyle. I therefore offer you the opportunity to enjoy the essence of falconry – hunting flights of the highest calibre carried out in accordance with the sport’s best traditions.
Clients will be collected at a designated meeting point by Land Rover and taken to one of our hawking grounds; depending on the location it may entail a little off road driving.
You will witness my Bonelli’s Eagle and Harris’ Hawk, German Wire-haired Pointer, Ferrets and humans working in unity, soaring, flying free and following us through private woodlands and open fields in the breathtaking Shropshire Hills. Become one with nature and see the world through a hawk’s eyes. An adventure you will never forget.

I try and replicate their natural flying style, this is done by allowing them freedom to follow-on (using us as their hunting team) An encounter you will never forget. Finally, watch the winter sun disappear behind rolling hills, face aglow after a day on the hills whilst feeling the power and tenacity of my Bonelli’s Eagle as he finishes his meal on your glove, with memories of an unforgettable experience.
Any quarry caught can be prepared for you to take home for the pot with some mouth-watering recipe ideas.

My Full Day Falconry Experience is second to none and should not be confused with other ‘Falconry Centre Experiences’ you may see advertised. There’s no large groups or tea & coffee fill-time, extended lunch breaks or restricted arena demonstration flying. This is an unparalleled adventure through the countryside, appreciating life through the eyes of a bird of prey, reconnecting you to the wonders of the natural realm. The trivial day-to-day concerns of modern existence are forgotten. The ringing telephone, the hectic schedule and the demands of the workplace slip away, replaced by the anticipation of the hunt, the exhilaration, highs and lows of the chase, and both the delight and hardship of life in the open air. This is not purely a chance to live like your early ancestors – it is, put simply, a taste of true freedom.
When you book one of my Full Day Falconry Experiences they are your own private session. This gives you or your exclusive group more handling and sufficient time to witness my Bonelli’s Eagle & Harris’ Hawk behaving totally natural in wild surroundings, giving my clients more of a personal and transformative experience that will resonate long after. Which also makes for a unique and memorable gift.
Please ensure you wear the appropriate clothing and bring along the following:
- Dark coloured clothing
- Flask, packed lunch & snacks
- Hiking or Wellington boots
- Waterproof coat
- Warm layered clothing
- A warm hat
- Falconry equipment & binoculars will be provided
- Don’t forget your camera!
Itinerary
- 09:30 – Arrive at meeting point and embark on your falconry adventure in our Landrover.
- 09:50 – Arrive at our flying grounds
- 10:15 – Lecture on falconry, anatomy, biology & history
- 10:20 – Flying birds in mixed terrain & woodlands
- 12:30 – Stop for light lunch in the field
- 13:00 – Flying birds in hill country, mixed terrain, woodlands or open fields
- 16:30 – Make our way back to the Landrover to watch the sun set whilst watching the birds preen with a full crop whilst sampling our mini bar
- 17:30 – Arrive back at you car
- You are now free to enjoy the rest of your evening in the beautiful Shropshire Hills.

Please understand before booking that weather conditions are very important when flying raptors in the hills. A degree of flexibility may be required by clients as we may have to cancel and re-book your experience to get the best weather day. Please bear this in mind when booking. Also, hills are very unforgiving so a degree of fitness will be of great benefit to ensure you enjoy your day.
